I just acquired this 95 cr250r from the original owner a 65yr old gentleman,.we met thru a mutual friend and we’ve been talking about me buying this since the beginning of the year.hes having some health issues and needed the money so he finally regretfully sold her to me.he knows I intend to keep it so I think that gave him some comfort.He has a lot of history with this bike and he really didn’t want to sell.He gave me the Oem tank which is a take off in excellent condition.My plans are to get a set of ufo plastic,throttle jockey Oem replica decals and seat cover.I plan to replace whatever hardware isn’t correct or damaged and keep it as close to stock as possible.Unfortunately earlier this year I had a set of very nice condition 95 oem plastic minus the fenders and I sold them..I also had a purple vintage renthal bar pad which I just located and ordered another.I plan on putting new tires and rebuilding the rear shock and I’ll use it occasionally..I’ll post pics as I proceed.

Lounge / 330 pro cross cr 250r

So yesterday I was doing my daily FB market place surfing and I came across a complete 2000 cr250r motor,electronics,carb,radiators,fmf full exhaust and some other random parts.Needless to say I scooped it up asap being the whole lot was $800.😬😬😬😬.Today upon closer inspection of the pictures I bought it off of I noticed a pro cross head and a cylinder without a power valve.I called pro cross for some info on it and it winds up being a 330 BB cylinder that doesn’t require case boring.Im pretty stoked to say the least,after talking to them about the cylinder he said they don’t make them anymore because they weren’t popular with MX guys being it starts to really build power around 2500 rpm,has anyone ever seen one of these or know anything about it?thanks for ant input.

Hello everyone I purchased a set of esr mounts off of FB market place the only thing is they look like two left mounts.I can’t seem to find any info and a few pictures,in one picture it actually looks like the set up is two lefts.can anyone confirm if this is correct?or if I’m stuck with two left side mounts.

So this past weekend I came across an LRD attitude frame on FB marketplace, I reached out to the guy Friday night we spoke Saturday morning and he was leaving the next evening on a road trip from Massachusetts to South Carolina for a week.He had said he had a lot of bs calls and no one serious so I said look I’m for real let’s do this I’ll give you a $300 deposit so you know I’m serious and not loading a frame into a Toyota camera leaving for a road trip.lol.We scheduled to meet midway and I picked it up ..I was up in the air if I was going to do another  build because I had some nice spare parts laying around that I was going to sell or do a build,I chose the latter.so far my plans for it are possibly leaving the frame in the silver natural state it’s in,I just ordered Kawasaki green full fender maiers,I have nos merril extreme LT a arms,axis front shocks,cr ignition,spare set of Oem white plastics.i just bought but haven’t received a one of two prototype works performance no link swing arm from the 90’s.To keep it all in the family I picked up a works performance rear shock as well.A fellow member has lrd foot pegs that I will be purchasing shortly..I’m thinking of going with aftermarket hubs both front and rear.I also have some cool NPM parts such as radiator mounts,black anodized brake resivour and throttle cover.I have a stock seat that I will be having fourwerx recover for me,im thinking of adding LRD on sides of seat with attitude across the back and possibly using green&silver accents with a black cover.im thinking of running a cfm airbox if it will fit the frame.im not sure on what colors to do the a arms and swinger..I’m also thinking of getting an LRD pipe and silencer if I can find a nice clean one and if they’re good performers..I’m open to any input or suggestions as well as open to buy parts..thanks for reading..I’ll post some pictures soon..

Projects / 1988 Trx resto/mod build

Hello everyone I figured I’d share this build from the beginning.I just got my frame back from the powder coater along with my houser stem.Im going for a modified factory look,I have 88 oem plastic ,88 swing arm,88 brakes and I have a cherry 86 motor .Everything else will be aftermarket but following the oem color scheme.I have Paul turner 89 trxrace exhaust as well as a sparks TT pipe.I have a fourwerx carbon hood ,radiator shrouds and a carbon fiber intake and aluminum air box that was one of three prototypes currently made..I ordered a new special edition RTC radiator grill in black anodize..I’ll be running a set of JD performance +2+1 standard travel a arms in silver with axis front shocks and an ohlins rear shock.I will also be sending my seat out to fourwerx to get a new seat cover and possibly foam.There are other bits of bing from NPM,RTC and Sonny Fricia..I will be installing a LSR axle,anti fade and bearing carrie along with ITP C2 rims and havnt settles on tires yet..I will be using oem hardware where applicable..I’ll be running a PRM atv front bumper and skid plate with a Pro armor 450r grab bar in black..

Lounge / What powdercoat color is closest to 88 Oem red

Hello everyone as the title states I’m looking for suggestions on the closest powder coat color match to the 88 red,my last frame I had done was an 85 Atc 250r and I think it came out more orange similar to early 80’s cr.i sold off a lot of my stuff on Monday so I’m going to drop my 88 frame off and start a new project.I have mostly everything for the build so it should move quickly.hopefully.lol.Thank you for any input and suggestions.
