Re: YTMAN’S 650
Michael88r I actually raced a 400EX/650R hybrid in Best In The Desert a hunnert ....no only 75 .....years ago. Mikey Johnson and his pop Dick Johnson put together a bad ass quad. Unfortunately the difference in our weight and riding style made the quad really hard to ride for me. We managed to finish some races tho. I bet your uncle still thinks about finishing his dream quad,

Michael88r I don’t know that I’ve met him. My first V2R was a little before that haha

Re: YTMAN’S 650
Well I spent all day mocking everything up to see if there’s going to be anymore changes. Obviously I have to rebuild the brakes and shocks before I can go farther. There’s a lot of cleaning. Everything has old grease, dust, and I’m pretty sure there’s some black widows hiding in there. She needs all new hoses and I have to figure out where all the electrical connectors go.

Re: YTMAN’S 650
She’s alive. It was an oily mess getting all the air out her oil lines but she bbubububububus along just like she used to. I may be able to do brakes and little things but shocks are going to have to wait until I start getting a paycheck again. Haha

Re: YTMAN’S 650
It’s a good thing I have a tractor....I would have had to knock the stand over to get her off haha. Well she’s on the ground. Still no rear brakes but the fronts work. Had some old shocks that are good enough to hold her up. May 18, 2020, 07:33:46 PM |

Re: R in print (Triple EEE)
I have a TripleEEE swingarm and a bumper, before they started calling them “Timmy Boy” Haha. The bumper has been on all of my quads. The swingarm needed fortifications and was ,and is, on a 350x/250r hybrid. December 17, 2020, 05:50:17 PM |

Re: Restored or ????
The quad has no real historical value. It’s just parts all over the place now. These are +1 1/2” wider and +1” forward with some giant bushings and seals with indexed ball joints. Back then Roll welded washers with two flat sides to automotive tie rod ends and notched the tube they went into to keep them from turning. I’ll sell them eventually. They’re pretty burley.
