Title: Gas grill
Post by: The norm on May 12, 2019, 02:37:57 PM
Ok fellas its time for me to replace my grill. I already have a smoker so I'm not interested in a pellet type grill. The last grill we had was a double lid grill. One side was gas and the other was briquettes. I don't know if I want to get another one like that. I would prefer a stainless steel grill that is very high quality and will last. Thanks Loren

Weber’s for the money, are really good. I usually buy the cheaper ones. They all burnout eventually.

I use them probably 3-4 days a week so mine burn up around 4 years of use

I have a Charbroil "infared' style and it works well.  gets to about 700* which is great for steaks, chops and burgers.  My next will be something that gets to 800*+

I had a Weber silver additional it worked really good for the price point and replacement parts are readily available..I’ve since given  it to a friend and it’s still going strong...

I love my weber gas grill. I actually got a natural gas rigged one with a quick disconnect right there on the back patio. I never have to even think about running out of fuel for the fire. I have had it around 15 years or so but I don't use it more then once every other week on average. I do need to replace the flavorizor bars between the burner and grill this year but they are only around $45 so that's not bad at all for it's age. Mine is one of the regular black ones and I don't have a cover for it but I could go give it a fast wash right now and you would think it is maybe 2 years old.

I've got a gas/charcoal combo from Char Griller. The whole thing is insulated and retains damn near all of the heat. I barely go through propane and/or charcoal when cooking. A tank lasts me at least double what it used to with a standard grill.

I ended up getting a weber genesis 340lx gas grill. We bought it at our local fred meyer grocery store. They had it listed for $1199. My wife had a 20% coupon and we got an additional 20% off because it was the display model.  They ran out because of the sale. It's a damn nice grill.
