Title: shock service?
Post by: atvmxr on September 20, 2013, 10:10:16 AM
I recall back in the mid 90's the LRD ads in dirt wheels, etc. offered shock rebuilding service.  I believe the 88-89 would be 10" travel and the 86-87 were 12" travel?

Do you still rebuild and modify shocks?

The 88-89 do not have provisions for adding travel.. the 86-87's do.. We offer a wide range of options including full rebuild to:  3-stage progressive revalve, coupled with piston mods, and respringing for your application. We also offer custom polishing ,chroming, and anodizing services.. We have done a lot of work for .org customers. and since we stock all the necc 250r shock parts ,our turn-around is very quick.

Yes we do still revalve and service shocks. The way to long travel the 88/89 shock is to install 86/87 damping rod. We did have Works Performance build us a few big shaft long travel damping rod kits back in the late 90's. I have not checked to see if they still do that.
