Re: Aftermarket Frame Options
The Arens guy is on Facebook quite regularly and was talking about making some.

I wouldn't hesitate to get one from Steve Buschinsky. His stuff is top notch

they were considered the most durable by some.  I know the Roll Design were tanks and rarely had failures from what i have heard.

Re: Not shifting
Couldn’t tell you the last time it was torn apart. I’m thinking it’s a clutch issue being the issue I have and when down shifting with the clutch pulled in it kind of clunks. In other words feels like the clutch isn’t completely disengaging. Which leads me to think it’s a clutch problem. How could I tell if the clutch discs are worn?

look up the service manual online  or get a hard copy (my suggestion).  measure the clutch free spring length,  measure clutch disc thickness (fibers and plates).  check for clutch disc warpage.  check the clutch center and clutch outer (hub and basket) for excessive wear/grooving.  check the starter idler gear and clutch outer guide.  all the service limits are in the service manual.

Also, a good set of 0-1"  mic's and 0-6" calipers are worth every penny.  a small surface plate is useful also.  clean the engine before tearing into it.  don't forget to order a new clutch cover gasket when ordering parts.

Re: CR500 Link - School Me on Offsets and Finer Details I can only speak for Laeger frames but....

cr500 and no-link upper shock mounts are identical, and offset to the right for intake clearance and what not
Swinger pivot between OEM/cr500/no-link frames are identical
Lower linkage mount on cr500 is offset to the right as well

I've seen Steve Buschinsky make extended swingers for duners. But if you're looking for an arched swinger or something along that style you'd have to ask him.

Finding good condition OEM linkage is tough as well. But Steve makes new linkage too

Re: CR500 Link - School Me on Offsets and Finer Details I believe he already is a member but not sure he's been on here in a while. He is on Facebook though, and active. He's good to deal with. I believe he runs/owns ISF Racing.
