I have a Duncan 340 PV and like it. Originally it was in my 86 ATC 250R but it has been transplanted to my 88 TRX while I'm working on that engine. It is a high quality cylinder and has been very reliable since I got it in 2003. While it is fast and has a lot of torque, I frankly expected a little more out of it. It is not the nitroglycerin sandwich I thought it would be, but perhaps that's because its current state of tune. I've got a CT drag pipe on it and no ignition upgrade. I think I can make it better. If you are spending 1600 or so you should take a serious look at the Sphynx line (check out LED Performance). I think that is a more modern cylinder layout and has more potential than the PC cylinder. My next cylinder is going to be a Sphynx. Here are some pictures of my PC in my TRX:good to know thx

Theirs a couple floating around here...what kind of riding do you do with that motor?
I like my 340pv, 2003 race pipe...but it is also my first R so I have no comparison.
Just called ESR about using the 2002-07 ignition system on the 250R. They have the billet stator mounting plate (see website) and will be testing the entire system this week. I was told the new system has a more complicated wiring harness and will cost $100 more than the previous setup. So, instead of $599 it will be $699.Did they say when the new complete system will be up for sale?
