I have a extra complete mainly stock 86 R thats in pieces right now but I don't know what to do with it. Either part it out, put it back together then sell. I would probably have to put about $150 into it (chasis bearing and such) before I could sell it as whole. Being reallistic I think I could get around $1300 for it when done. I just don't know if parting would be worth it being mainly stock, what do you guys think? Right now its taking up space in my work room and I don't need 3 quads.

The short answer would be send it to me .lol. If the engine runs, the plastics aren't all broken, and its in decent shape otherwise, you still could probably make more parting it. You'll be left with some parts though that almost never sell.

My advice is to put it back together with a different build philosophy than the one you're riding. A lot of guys with 2 Rs build one as an MX and one as an XC--that's my plan. I hate to hear about Rs being parted out, especially if they are in decent shape. If one is really trashed and you can part it out to make others live, fine. But there are only so many in the world so it is nice to preserve as many as possible.

I really don't like seeing them parted either, but the sad truth is it's usually the most financially rewarding.

Hey there is a guy looking for a frame or a full roller in mi man, check the wanted thread and pm him man. It could goto another member and be a new build thread on here.
