Stolen in the past few weeks from a storage lot in NW Houston, so who knows where they could be now.... 6 x12 white enclosed trailer, single axle, side door, rear ramp door, general cargo manufacturer. lots of atv related stickers inside and 311 sticker near side door.
I had a bunch of tools, spare parts, etc. inside. Also inside were a 2005 Honda 450r fourtrax and a 1986 Honda 250r race MX quad 4 wheeler. The 450R was pretty much stock, only identifying thing was a gulf coast powersports sticker on the front hood. I had just put a HRC exhaust tip and sparks air filter on it and was in process of jetting it, at time was stolen it wouldnt idle and ran like shiiii. oh and has a bent left tierod. The 250R had 5 on the number plates on fenders. Rage atv ported cylinder, LRD pipe, ohlins shocks, that about all the identifying stuff I can think of.
$500 reward for information leading to finding them and/or return - 713 two seven seven 87 zero 5
appreciate any ideas of where I should post this information.

Post it on Louisianasportsman. Ill keep a lookout on the sale sites near my area, central La.
Hope you find them, that's a big bummer!

Hope you can recover all of this and/or it was insured. I've been looking at trailer alarm systems just for this reason - probably time to pull the trigger on one. Best of luck.

Post stolen signs in places where lots of people will see them with the reword listed. Specify that the person who tips you off will be kept anonymous.
-
sorry about your bad news.
you could check all surrounding craigslist for your machines/parts etc.
check ebay for things for sale.
a private investigator could help you find your things. at an obvious expense.
best of luck finding your machines.

Post it on craigslist in yours and surrounding areas as well as your local paper. I'm sure you reported it to the police so the plate # and vin # are on file with the police and the dmv. I'd put signs anywhere that will let you. The thief is bound to have a buddy that could use 500 bucks.

so far I have had two people off craigslist ask me if the trailer and quads are still for sale!! :character0029::character0029::character0029::character0029:

You'll probably see one of the quads in the news, dope hauler streaking across the Mexican border right before they are caught. Every dope head in this country stealing to support their habit, but I can tell you one thing, next one breaks into my shop, will be leaving in a black bag.

Sorry to hear that! That sucks!
While we were in the Oregon Dunes, thieves came thru and stole a banshee from Discovery Point, and another bike from the half moon bay campground. The sheriff said it happens a lot, they hit every campground in the area at the same time...cool thing was they put an ad on craig's list offering a reward of 1K for the return of the banshee, and the thieves went for it! The sheriff met them at a restaurant parking lot posing as owner. They got the banshee back, and didn't have to pay the reward. the thieves said they traded 2 mountain bikes for the shee. Our R was safely locked away in our trailer for the night...trust no one...

Awesome to hear the law is being proactive about that. Did they mention anything about their recovery rate/%? I'm still worried when my R's are inside the trailer and recently have been looking into DeWalt's Mobile Lock to at least secure the trailer.

No , but they said it happens quite often, and usually they hit every campground in the area at once and take anything not tied down. We worried about our trailer too, so we always backed our truck up to the hitch. The campground had a night watchman, but that was a joke, she was only there to call cops if someone was fighting, and only did rounds once or twice a night, easy to wait until she went in her cabin. I would get a lock if we could not park in front of our trailer. Too many thieves who are bold enough to steal in broad daylight let alone in the dark.

Really sorry to hear of your loss! I hope you catch the SCUMBAGS that took it and get all your stuff back :)
I wonder how good one of these would be ? - http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/580793160/New_motorcycle_anti_theft_gps_tracker.html?s=p
Imagine the look on the dirt bag's face when you show up with a group of buddies and find him with your stuff! Priceless
:)

Or try this Cheap & Easy method.....for a trailer you would have to tap into the wiring to adapt the charger....and it will charge the battery when the trailer is in tow.....:)
http://gizmodo.com/5691724/how-to-track-your-vehicle-on-the-cheap
This should have everyone who trailers their TOYS....thinking....:)

interesting! the only problem with the phone system is the phone turns off when the phone battery dies and the phone will not automatically turn back on just because its charging. phone turned off = no tracking
and likewise with the other gizmo you posted, i believe it would only send a signal when the quad is running since our quads dont have batteries. in this particular instance it would be useless on the 450r becuase I just installed some HRC mods and was still messing with the jetting and the quad wouldnt run
but still those are good ideas!

I would always use both of these when unhooked while I had a trailer. One or the other would help, both help more, but nothing is perfect.
