Hopefully going to go pick it up on Saturday. It comes with goodies that i will be looking to unload. I don't know 100% what the condition is on a couple of the big items but,
89 factory plastic (said to be in good condition) and a Factory 88 seat that looks to be in very good condition. He says its a low hour bike and if the seat is telling the story it is very low hour. I'll keep you posted when i get more info.

sweet sounds like a good find man

Got any sneak peaks

This is a pic that he sent me yesterday of some of the items. There is also an 86 frame with some welding done to it, the 89 plastic, and the seat is currently on the bike. I'm thinking of selling it (the seat) or trading it + cash for a different seat, this bike will be my loaner/wife's ride, I don't need expensive items on this beast.

WOW could it be any smaller!!!
-
to make the picture larger, click on edit for your post, then double click the picture and a window will pop up and click full size and it will display the picture full size all the time
-
The picture doesn't show up on the edit page just this... [ATTACH=CONFIG]1719[/ATTACH and it wont let me double click. It was a Jpeg file. I always have the hardest time with pictures.

when you add a image are you using "manage attachments" to download the file and add it to your post?

I tried to do the 2 differant sizes on the same post and it does not work, but by double clicking the picture you should get a window to pop up and choose full size for a large display of the pic

csides66 i maybe interested in that seat, trying to get the bike back to all original

Curious on where your getting it from. I'm right down I20 from you in North Augusta. I know where one is in Thompson for sale that was described as only needing new tires but turned out to be a real turd with spray painted plastics, jb weld on left case half, needed tires and all the chassis bearings relpaced. I ended up knowing the guy that did the top end and he said when the guy came to pick it up he jumped right on it and ran it as hard as he could thru the field.......no break in time. Thought I would pass that your way in case it's the same one.

Here are some pics of pics so they arnt very good... dont know whats up but it wont let me copy and paste...

Will do! I will need a seat so if your ok with it and all things good, id like to do a trade for your seat and we can talk about price difference.
-
Not the same one I was talking about. Thats a nice looking one your getting.
-
yeah we can do that, I have 2 both are in perfect shape just not stock

Well the seat had 3 small holes on it... There is an upholstry shop up the road from me i highly doubt they can fix it but im going to take it over to them anyway. The bike itself is in good condition but the seat was a little upsetting i got him to take another $200 off the price. The 89 plastic is good enough for rider plastic but thats about it, has some mounting hole damage one on side of front, could be race cut but it looks like someone was crafty and drilled a new hole in what was left of the plastic mounting bracket. Got some ITP Baja rear 8" reinforced rims, gas tank no petcock.
-
That ok, there is a shop that makes exact replicas of the 88 seat so I will just pick one of those up. It's hard to find a perfect 88 seat this many years later.

That's a nice looking bike. If the R in these pictures is the one you just got than it's an 88 with oem fenders. 89's have white fenders with a red seat & tank.
-
Ya its an 88, the fenders were thrown in with the deal along with other odds and ends.
