Post by: offroadparts on September 12, 2013, 03:01:06 PM
These were on the bike I just picked up......K&K shock reservoir clamps.  Just curious if these fit only certain size res's. and what they are worth.....Thanks.

Offroadparts: judging by the design, those clamps should be able to accomodate most rezzies if not all of them. If you put up a quick measure of the diameter, we could probably tell you what they fit. As far as worth, not sure. I know the ones that were on ebay used to run about $30 each.

These clamps are "universal fit". Meaning you'll have to have some sort of filler between the clamp and the actual reservoir. I bought a new set off ebay direct from K&K. they sent me some cheap ass foam that's suppose to fill the gap between the rezzy and clamp. Didn't work. I ended up using a cut of black poly-pipe that did the trick and looks clean. The shocks ive used with these clamps include TCS PEP and Works. Never tried Custom Axis so I cant tell ya what kid of fitment issues you may/maybe encounter. If anyone has a set of rezzy clamps for round tube frame, Ill trade ya straight up for stock chassis K&K clamps as pictured above.
