Well it's closing after this weekend so me and a buddy went ride, I snapped a few pics before I left.

They aren't making enough profit. Joe Burns saved it 2 years ago when it was about to close and poured his heart and soul into it..including his money, moving his family there, and closing and moving his AC business and moving things there.

At approx 8k month, he cannot make any profit and keeps digging a bigger financial hole.. It sucks but I don't blame him..

That sucks, was hoping to make it back out there.  I wonder if the new owner just had too grand of dreams and spent too much money.   In my opinion the place didn't anything but some one to handle the gate.  All the $$$ and time went to making a drag track that probably would have been more feasible some where else.

But at least he stepped up to the plate and went for it

You have gotta be kidding me! I was born and raised in Louisiana, moved to Oregon and will be moving back at the end of the month. One thing I was looking forward to doing was taking my 250r down to LA Dunes! Man that sucks!

Yep it does. I hope a miracle happens and somehow it opens again. Oregon looks like it has several good riding places, I'm sure ya gonna miss that.

From what i have heard and seen the price has doubled and a lot of rules have been stated.. Rules that make it seem like you would be going to a Sunday church service.. :(
