Title: AC alloy nerf mounting
Post by: zarathos on October 27, 2013, 11:28:05 PM: Does anyone have any pictures of how the regular (non-pro peg) AC nerf bars mount up? I bought a used set, came with bolts but no mounting brackets or anything. I'm not sure if they were supposed to or not. I've read that AC nerfs tend to fit poorly, so I'm not sure if these aren't fitting due to poor quality or if I'm missing some parts. Some pics would help a lot.

Post by: jamieg45 on October 29, 2013, 01:58:16 AM: Those are ment to bolt up to your foot pegs, but not the oem ones. Either the roll ims ones or another set of the ones the guys have been running on the 86-87 frames.

Roll IMS is apparently out of my price range and the only ones I can find say they are for 88-89 anyway. The only way I'm gonna put these nerfs on is if I can do it cheap. I only bought them because they were cheap, if I'm going to have to spend $200 on footpegs just so I can mount them up, then I'll just sell them.

Post by: trx250scar on October 29, 2013, 07:12:50 PM: the 88 89 pegs will work on the 86 87 just sit a little lower(just take em off the mounting braket) , but that dont help your price range.

Post by: jamieg45 on October 30, 2013, 10:04:57 AM: Pumashine has made brackets to make the 450 pegs work, and someone else makes pegs for the 86-87 only.
