I have the opportunity to buy this bike but the seller doesnt know much about it, and its about 1.5 hrs from me. Anyway I know the frame is a big selling point for the bike, anyone can tell from the pics what it may be and the value?
Thanks

I looks like the sub frame doesn't come off and there is also 2 tubes up by the front bumper, along with a small diameter tube going from the motor mount tube to the lower frame rail. This eliminates most newer style frames ie Laeger,Lsr,Roll. Looks like it has Lsr arms on it,and Sparks exhaust?. Looks like a good R if the price is right!

2500$
I already have too many toys...according to the wife. I was thinking about buying and parting out...
-
All wives say that..lol.. Hopefully someone has a better idea on who made the frame,at $2500 I dont think theres alot of money to be made. Not that its a bad price if you were gonna keep it,but to part it,it may not be worth it unless theres stuff you want to keep. See if he can get you some better pics,it may be hiding some goodies!! If you could get that for $2k you would be sitting real good on the deal.
-
Yea, I already broke it down on the profit, it really wouldnt be worth it with cost of shipping and such. The seller doesnt know much, other than his kids cant ride it lol. I had to tell him the frame wasnt stock.
If I wouldnt have a super clean 88, I would be all over it.
-
It looks to be maybe a first gen houser or a lsr before they were called lsr.
-
LOL why ya would tell him that the frame wasn't stock?????? $1500 Looks like some beat up old race quad from the 80's to me :)
-
Haha, I know. At the end of our messages back and forth I gave some advice to him. One thing was that his frame isn't stock.
-
Looks to me like a LSR or Laeger frame,If you look close I am almost positive that's a Laeger swingarm.
-
Looks laeger too me
-
What's the approx value of the frame? Y'all maybe able to get some good deal on parts if I can get him low enough lol.
-
You should get a picture of the front shock mount cross tube (horizontal rectangular tube that the front shocks bolt to on the frame). Usually makes it easier to identify
-
I'd hate to explain to the poor fellow what to take a pic of lol.
-
Lol just like this... Can you take a picture of the frame in the front. I need a picture of the rectangular tube in the front of the frame that the front shocks bolt to right above where the reservoirs are mounted.
-
He explained the reservoirs were "shock canisters" lol. Kinda right I guess.
-
The frame rails that the front motor mounts attach to are the same style as LSR. Laeger's have a bend in them before they meet the bottom frame rail. LSR are straight tube all the way to the bottom frame rail.
-
Ok that is a lsr swingarm and a-arms and it looks like a JP frame. You can see in the one pics the front upper shock mounts is like a stock mount and not a full cross tube like a laeger has
