That is what they told me. Also asked abought the water pump being in case. That said the mod wouldn't hurt the seal

Here is mine. If you go with the Lexan cover, tell them to countersink the screws. The one below has just regular allen head screws with a washer. I had them do another cover with countersunk screws, which looks a lot better.

I like the billet cover... just needs a little TRX or Honda engraved into it, maybe even just the wing

Does the kicker clear the cover?

Does anyone actually use this to change the clutch?   The original idea was the pro mx guys would feather the clutch a lot going out of corners and would smoke a clutch in one moto and it had to quickly be repaired before the next moto.
Are y'all really going through clutches very often?
Just curious

I want one because it just makes life easier.  Change clutch means drain oil and coolant. Remove all the cover bolts fight with the pipe in the way. Oil and coolant still dripping. Now putting the cover back on you still have to fight with the pipe. And now the gasket too. Pain in the ass.

^ agreed^ moving the pipe and that damn sticky coolant mess.

I prefer them because I started out with bikes, and so I'm use to having the easy off clutch cover.  I never understood why they just couldn't do it on atv's as well.  Also in the bling department they finish off a build nicely

Does the kicker clear the cover?

That is a good question to ask.... My RIS Designs billet kicker would not clear.. But my OEM kicker cleared after i adjusted it on the shaft. It needs to be slid up onto the shaft just enough so that the bolt will go through.

The mod it self is not too pricey , when you get the whole direct drive lock up the extended kick lever they sell you to clear the clutch cover its self is pricey

They can mod your cover for a stock or Slingshot style setup which doesnt require the extended shaft. That is how mine is done.

Good luck with burgard. I ordered a quick change cover from them about 10 years ago. It took probly 15 phone calls and about a year before it showed up.
