as a whole?
as a kit?

Dave posted prices of the CP Industries back in July. http://trx250r.org/showthread.php?1475-Sphynx-and-Puma-cylinder-Retail-price-list&highlight=puma+price

I've heard a turn key set up is around 5 grand pipe carb machine work ect
-
Major expense to the kit is balancing crank at $500. Don't think I have over 3K into any of my 3 puma's
-
I'm looking only for the motor.
cylinder, piston, dome, reed cage, crank, cut cases.

The prices for the Puma pieces on in the link, get ahold of Pete at Hybrid for the Puma or Arlen at LED pieces and they can port and cut your cases, they are both great guys to deal with.

witch motor runs the best the 3 mil or the 4 mil with 85 mm position.

^ This. Last builder I talked to said a big Puma is usually about $1k more than a Sphynx due to the extra crank work, different reed cage and intake manifold, and pipe.

We mostly build 76 mm stroke Pumas. The Puma uses a CR 500 reed cage which will flow a more air then the smaller 250R reed valve. It also has enough port area to handle a lot of stroke. I makes sense to use the 76 mm hot rods stroker crank because it is affordable, but I recommend upgrading to a stronger rod. I send my cranks to crank works to be balanced and weld the tin on.
Set up properly the Puma makes a lot of hp. They absolutely must have a pipe that is designed for the increased displacement. I strongly recommend upgrading the transmission with stronger wheel gears.
