Im Jayson from Wichita Falls Texas, and just bought my first 250R about 6 months ago. That intro sounded like something you might hear at quads anonymous, first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem, right!? Ive been riding since I bought my first Suzuki LT230S Quadsport new in 1986, then another in 87, then started driving in 89. Finally finished college and started back with an 06 TRX450R, then an '07, then an '09, then a '13, and finally a 1987 TRX250R. See, problem, and probably why Im not married. I currently only have the 09, 13, and the 250r.
Ive basically done a ton of research and have rebuilt the 250r from the ground up. Love the bike, so far my favorite bike of all time! Found it on craigslist and the motor, plastic, and swingarm was about all that was good on it. Frame was twisted, old stock parts worn out, shocks were toast, etc etc etc.... As of today I have found a good 87 frame with fresh black powder coat and started swapping all my new parts over. Started off by replacing all the suspension with Elka Stage 3 quadrate front and dual rate rear shocks, lonestar DC4 Long travel a-arms, Axcaliber Axle and LSR bearing carrier, Renthal Sprockets, all new linkage bushings, swinarm bearings, and rubber grommets on the frame. After that I started in with the motor and got an ESR 310 Kit with Powervalve, Race gas dome, his Reed cage, Keihin 38mm Airstriker Carb, TRX7 Pipe, airbox eliminator, and all the billet bolt on stuff he sells, it looks sick! Finished off the plastic with Fourworx carbon hood and tank cover. So far very happy. The motor is supposed to be back on Tuesday and then Ill get it finished up and hope to get it broken in soon! Ive been lurking on here for a while and reading anything and everything I could find! So far Ive discovered that the "other" trx forum seems to be a ***** and bash session, seems more peaceful over here. Haha Thanks for listening and I hope I retain my addiction for a long time!

welcome to the best R site. bike looks good. Looks like you got bit by the bug...like most of us 250R addicts. I bet you will have another 250R in the stable and enough parts to build a third (or maybe a fourth)

Nice bike and welcome!

Freakin nice color scheme you got there. The light green goes well with the black. Well, at least you admit you have a problem. Welcome to the bad boys club. Many of our members have your same history. I did not get my 86 ATC until 1990....did not know ATV's even existed though I grew up riding an Elsinore 125. There is alot of knowledge and help offered here.

Well for some reason I can't see your pics, but welcome to .org.

I can't see the pics either. Not sure what the deal is. Welcome anyway, Jason. Always good to have another comrade. We try to pass along and share as much information about our awesome machines as possible to keep people riding and enjoying. them.

Welcome. I ask a lot of odd ball questions and haven't been bashed yet. BTW - You will fit in well here. You already have a new pic to replace your 'this is where I'm at so far!' pic.

Yah Jeremy but you have the worst addiction over all of us. You have like 6 R's and can only ride 1 at a time, and your gonna need to build a museum off of your pole barn and display them here soon.
but jason welcome aboard and nice looking r man.

Well you'll be glad to no that this will probably be the last bikes you spend money on. Lol and like Croat said if you have one then you'll probably have more that one. Way more fun on a two stroke
