Hey everyone, new guy here from Louisiana with a 1986 trx250r with a little work done but nothing major. I traded off my beloved 07 ltr450 for it and have been happy to have it. This isn't my first 250r but its my favorite ive had so far. Glad to have another site to visit for these as they are few and far between. Hope to meet some good people here and get plenty of info. Im in the market for some pro peg nerfs, mx front and rear tires and wheels, plus a few other things. Thanks in advance and here is a few pics of my 250r from when I got it to now.
What I traded:

Nice ride and welcome!

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the welcome. Those I have were the first Lakers ive seen in person. I absolutely love them and I got them at a killer price. Kind of wish I kept my OEM plastics and my OEM rear wheels and tires but ill live.

Looks really nice. I have a new set of red Lakers on my black frame. I like them alot. Only problem I have is the razorbacks throw sand by the race cut in the front. Welcome to the site. Lots of good people here.

Thanks pumashine, I already been on your site to check out what goodies I can get and I may see about getting a fully polished cover and such depending on what way i take with the polished/chrome on it.

Welcome......I see you must have decided to keep the R. Good decision man!

I'm from French settlement, la originally but live in st. Amant, la right out of Gonzales and 30 min east of Baton Rouge.
red88r I did decide to keep it. Not sure how much she will be used since my gf and I just purchased a new teryx 4 side by side but she will definitely be on the trailer for every riding trip!

My brother dealt with Eddie on his 370 stroker build and that thing would flat get it. Only thing that bike was missing was good suspension. The rear shock was busted and it wasnt planting the power at all. Even with that wrong Eddie helped him dial it in and man it was nice. I already found a good bit of useful information and a great group of people on this site. Looking forward to the many years of enjoyment.

where do you ride? I live near NW Houston, family in Beaumont and NOLA. We used to go to LA dunes, but they are closed now. most places are just a bunch mud stompers
Been thinking of hitting up Kisatchie National Forest...
-
We have been talking about there too. I didn't know la dunes was closed!?!? There is a mx track and 15 miles of trails in belle chasse, la right out of New Orleans that's pretty damn fun. I go to the bonne carre spillway that's not far from New Orleans too. It's not too bad.
-
Most of the guys go to Sandhill ATV in Wiggins MS since they closed LA Dunes down.
-
I always wanted to go there but never had a chance to make it there. Maybe this summer I can make it if I get some paddles
