Title: Laeger +2 +1 pro-trax stem?
Post by: supernutt on December 21, 2013, 06:40:44 PM
Did Laeger ever make a +2 +1 forward pro trax steering stem?  Thinking I would like one.  Might have to run a big gas tank and this would make it much easier to do that..

New protrax stems are different.  And I don't think they ever did.  The one's I've seen were modified.

The larger tanks interfere with standard stems, you have to set the tank back or get a +1 forward at least.

and I think I either want taller bars or a longer stem...But I heard they no longer make the pro trax stems and they are the standard holes in them for regular tie rod ends?  I would have to call just to make sure

They do still make protrax stems.

Not quite.  The Pro-Trax package offered online comes with a ball joint stem. However, they will still sell you a true clevis & heim stem for around $500.

May have to look into Jerry White... Sounds like the most cost effective thing to do.....
