Title: diff. thumb throttles for 250R

Just wondering if a 400ex 450r or any other thumb throttle  will work with the stock carb cable. I have a brand new cable for the stock PJ carb that came off my 87 that will be going on my 86 I am putting together. It had a twist when got it but want a thumb. And it seems there are more 400 450 ones out there for sale for cheaper.

Daughters R has a Suzuki Z400 throttle on it, had to mod it just a bit so it would have enough travel, but it opens up that 42mm carb just fine.
