Title: ESR customer service
Post by: WFO370 on January 02, 2014, 04:54:23 PM
I just wanted to give a big thanks the Eddie Sanders for all his help this past Saturday.  I smoked my motor on my 250R while riding at Pismo late Friday afternoon, I thought my weekend was over but drove into town Saturday morning to see if anyone was around ESR.  Eddie was doing some work on his CNC machine and I asked him if he wouldn't mind checking out my motor.  He said no problem, so I took the cylinder off and showed it to him.  The cylinder was scarred up from some old carbon fiber reeds that came apart I was running.  Now I know Eddie had better things to do than mess with my motor on a Saturday but he said give me 45 minutes and we will get this all fixed up.  45 minutes later he was helping me install a new piston, new reeds, and my cylinder back on to my motor.  All I can say is what a great guy to help me out this way and on a Saturday!  I have been dealing with ESR since 2002 and they have always gone over and beyond for me.  Thanks again for all the help Eddie.

That was way too cool. I sure am glad a site sponsor took the time to help you out. I for one have only had good luck when dealing with ESR. Thanks for sharing and hopefully people will think twice the next time they cannot get ahold of someone at any given point in time when calling ESR. I am sure he is only helping someone else out and is too busy to answer the phone.

Its awesome seeing the "ESR Customer Service" threads that arent started by the competition. I think i saw maybe 1 good thread to every 10 bad ones on the old site. Weird  how that happens.

Love these stories and makes me even more willing to send some money ESR's way in my future.

Yes sir, that's a good guy right there. Someone to be respected. Not many people like that in the world.

I'm thinking of getting a 420 cylinder. I've seen some of them run at some local drags and it maybe time to step up.

I figure this thread is the best to write this as any.  In the past I wrote ESR for some answers but lacked a response.  I was able to get these questions answered here though.  I don't gig ESR for this.

About my dealings with ESR and the support to our community... My first dealings with them was winning QOTM.  As with anyone, they hooked me up with some extras and I could never ask for better.  Just recently I seemed to be loosing a couple of exhaust springs and I had to order some more.  Lacking one so I ordered four more.  As small as it may seem Eddie hooked me up with some additional exhaust o-rings!  I'm not in need of them now but I could always use them for the future or to lend to another in need.  His generosity and R support has got high praises from me and even my wife.

As of now I'm going to throw on the new spring and then run some lock wire (bailing wire, etc) through the spring length and fasten it to the same ends that the hooks are attached to.  This will keep the springs from falling off even if they do become unattached.

Eddie, I thank you for all of the support to our community! Josh Prasek

I too would like to put in some good feedback for Eddie...

I am already running one if his trx9 ported 350 topends with his exhaust and reedblock..Still very satisfied with it's performance and still running strong.

So, I won QOTM for June this year and have been wanting to upgrade the carb on my 350 from the 38mm A/S carb to a 41.2 PWK. I asked Eddie if we could bore my carb with my winnings and he advised against it due to the air vanes in the Airstryker carb making boring that carb pretty difficult. So, he offered to trade me a brand new PWK 41.2 for my excellent condition 38mm A/S!

There was some delay (totally understandable given his workload and I am certainly not going to get pushy with a man who does so much for us and then still sponsors our QOTM contest) But in the end, I got the carb I ultimately wanted for my big bore and on top of that he threw in one of his WORKS (note spelling! LOL!) Carb/jet wrenches with an assortment of jets! I did not ask for any extras. He already went above and beyond as far as I am concerned.. But that tells you the kind of guy he is. He didn't have to thrown in that nice little extra goodie, but he did anyway.

Eddie, I would love to see you start to participate here on our board at some point even if you just swing in and check out threads like this. Without ESR and a few others like him, where would we all be??

Thanks ESR!.....

One happy looney ATCer! :tongue-new:

Don't think Eddie does not check out the praise we give him. He is so busy there is no possible way he could respond to a hundred or thousand customers. But I am sure he comes by to see what is troubling us. Eddy is the true 250r god. We all praise him everytime we buy his products. Affordable cylinders and pipes that keep us all happy!!!

Well, I can certainly understand why he doesn't have the time to post. But I am glad to know he swings in here and see what is going on. What better way to keep a finger on the pulse of your customer base?

I spoke to Eddie on the phone for about 30 minutes last week about doing a 310 engine build.
He was very helpful and polite. It was very nice of him to take the time to talk with me and help
me decide on what setup would be best for the type of riding I do with my 250r.
He gets a big thumbs up from me!
