What y'all think, I know the frame can crack around the seat latch. But never seen it this bad before. Possibly purchasing this quad, looking for input. Thanks

looks like when it started cracking it was left to kep cracking. then when it was fixed someone just put a butt load of weld and no prep work. if you can weld and fabricate a little that would be an easy fix. seems like a way to get a bargain tho.

Looks fine except the crack. I thought it looked like it cracked after the weld job. A frame I have looks worse than that weld job. Does not seem to be a big deal. Agree you can use it as a bargaining chip.
Rubber seat mounts look to be from a 3 wheeler.

Yes after a closer look of pic #2 u can see it cracked after the reweld. good eye Tony.

Do you think his shock was bottoming out and the weight of the rider was making the frame crack their?
-
If thats the only damage then id say go for it. IMHO that is not a critical area and can be easily fixed.
-
So did you get the quad and that area is easily fixed with a aftermarket style pieces. Just like any of the aftermarket frames have and look.
-
Piss poor repair makes it look worse. With a good repair you should have no problems.

well, we came to terms and got shipping lined out. We will see how it looks in person. My last 4 quads have been from Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, and now Las Vegas. All nice and close to home here in Houston, TX. Not!! :cheerful:

well if the frame is trashed, i have a nice 86 i can part with! I just really dont want to deal with shipping it though haha.
