It's amazing how some people don't know what these are....
This frame and pile of parts was found on craigslist, at a storage facility. They had it sitting outside in a pile...
I consider this "rescued" as it was going to be thrown away...
We went through and did a complete restoration... See the following pics :-)
This just shows what you can do with a 1986 frame.

Yup, i was in process of parting out my cdale moto
Decided to give it a try. They pretty much copied honda

What did you use to cover the cases with? The green stuff in the pics

Yeah don't even give him a compliment first.....^^^^^:sign0157: All I can say is awesome job on saving that one from the scrap pile. And I know aftermarket frames are cool and I want one still......most of the time for most people a stock gusseted frame is all you need. If you can get by without spending money right away for a frame is a plus for me. Alot of respect for guys that run a stock frame yet.

I love that picture where it's just sitting there in front of the grassy knoll. Probably one of the coolest R pictures I've ever seen!

I'm digging the pic of it on the lift, looks badass.

Nice job great build and rescue from the scrap pile.

thanks guys! will be upgrading to a LSR frame in the future.... for now i have another spare frame that ill be gusseting/powder coating. For the MX riding i do it will prob last a season... but i know it will eventually fail
and the stuff on the cases is green heat tape , it doesn't melt when baked in the oven... http://www.columbiacoatings.com
