MARCH 29 & 30 SAND DRAGS
JUNE 14&15 SAND DRAGS
AUGUST 23&24 SAND DRAGS
NOVEMBER 29&30 SAND DRAGS
looks like there will be plenty of places to run 300 this year.
-
Seems like more and more places are starting to realize
People like drag racing and 300ft which is awesome
Hopefully that place over here at fomosa raceway gets built too and have more quad classes
-
Definitely looks like a lot of 300 ft drags this year, between bako drags, Santa Maria, avenal, and south valley, all within 100 miles, should be a busy year, hope to see a big turn out of 250r"s, see you at the drags.
-
awesome! I know we're gonna try to make it to some of those. Look forward to seeing you guys out there too
-
So who else is planning on making it?
-
I believe they are only running sand drags the first day of the events. I'll find out and post up.
-
We're going on the 29th
-
Anyone else going to make it at the end of this month?
-
Well taking off here in a minute. Hopefully it goes better for me than Bako.
See some of ya peeps later.
-
Good luck man! Let's us know how it goes! We'll be out at pismo today. My r is down right now so that's why we're not going there
-
whats up with the R johnny!!??
-
Mat shearer has my motor. He's working his magic ;)
-
hell yeah man... that bike is gunna run real hard when you get it back... cant wait to see it run brotha!!!
-
I hope so! I'm trying to take my dads Honda out but I'm not sure I'll make up 5-6 bike lengths haha we'll see. I can't wait either I'm anxious for it to be done
-
Well bike ran well. I need to drop weight. Running 4.9's @ 65mph. I would like to put someone lighter on it and see what it would do. Takes alot to get 240 moving off the line. Oh well, it's index racing any ways. Went 4 rounds and ended up taking second place against Robert in the final. Lost to him by .05
Maybe next time.
-
Nice!! That's good to hear Russell.

That's pretty darn good for a heavy hitter! Well done

We keep joking that there needs to be a single cylinder big boy class. But, yeah thanks for the compliment. Still need to get some weight off the bike and me though. I keep saying I will be happy with 4.8's.
-
Well, time to bump this back up, who's planning on fathers day weekend. June 14th & 15th.
I think I will make it and be camping for the weekend.
-
Well who is planning on making it?
AJ, James, Johnny, Simon???????????????
-
Sorry man. Wish I could. My bike is down and so is my dads at this point
-
I'm not going to make it, to many other things to do, should be a good time though...
-
no can do sir!! just like quick310 said too much shit to do and so little time!! have fun and be safe!! get some videos and pix!!
-
Anyone run this last weekend?
-
Yes Sir, Not many bikes showed up though. I redlit the first round against Bret from AtvDragracers.com. Oh well had a good time with him and a couple of others the rest of the day and night. Sunday we just did TnT.
First and last time I will do a Pickle shot, shot of vodka chased with pickle juice. Who ever thought of that needs their head examined. The photo he posted with the 3 bikes at the starting line is his Bracket Hustler, my buddy Collins 4mm Super(built by McCoy, Stellar Chassis) and Tim Wilson with a YFZ450. I think we will be hitting up Pismo for the 4th as well.
-
Looks like a big race coming up. Battle of the Area Codes
-
I don't know how big it will be. People say they are going to show up then they don't. Plus being the weekend after the 4th. Who knows.
Ruben, who is putting on these races there, is really interested in making the track and events better. He is dumping money into it.
-
We're planning on making it out for that race with my bike and my dads bike. It is hard that its the weekend after the 4th though
-
I hear ya Rupp, but the only way to keep racing alive is to support your tracks every opportunity you can. Its a tough game, that's for sure. Peeps don't really know what it takes to run a number until they've been there and gave it a try for themselves.
-
I like to head down tomorrow to catch the action but not going to happen. Wonder who will be the top runner??
I see Arlo coming. Wonder if Mat is going to bring is big bike? Who is going to be the fastest, Twin? Tripple? I'm sure it wont be a 4stroke. Brets Sand Hustler is impressive though.
What say you?
-
heard Brett's rappy went .85 on Friday, but haven't heard since. Angel on Arlo's triple ran .52 or .53, I believe that was fastest pass.
-
A good buddy of mine won his class with his supercub ran a 3.85
-
Colin didn't make it AJ, Brets jockey Jeff Patterson rode Pauls bike. Robert Garneas(who puts on the Bako races) won the tripple class. Arlo may have the fast pass though, not sure.
-
When's the next SM race? Any of you R boys running?
-
Well after the July 10th race, the neighbor who owns a large portion of the shut down area, said "no more." so the August race is cancelled. The thought now is to turn the track around and change where it is laid out on the property. I am expecting my second boy late August so I wasn't going anyway. The November race is what they are shooting for I believe. I may make that race but it will just be a fairly stock bike, re-doing some stuff and should be ready for next year.

My buddy Colin on 4mm SuperCub by McCoy in the far lane, Bret from AtvDragracer.com in the near lane.

Im pretty eager to see what mine will do on the track but I haven't really had the chance to get it there unfortunately. I agree with brad though simon, your bike should gain quite a bit now that its built right. labor day at Pismo is gonna be sweet this year. cant wait!
