Title: BR5ES Plugs
Post by: The_Steve_Man on January 10, 2014, 07:21:32 PM
Is there anybody using br5es plugs? We used to run them and seemed to give our bikes more power.  I guess because they are such a hot plug.
I was at the parts store getting plugs and thought about these.

I thought you only ran that hot of a plug if your motor is toast , low compression . I use b8es plugs

the plug only needs to be hot enough to not foul when jetted proper.I run a 9 in the dunes running wide open most of the time and have used a 10 for hill racing

B7's work great most of the time and give more accurate plug reading. I always use B8's on customers bikes. I have never looked at a B9 that wasn't too cold. We raced MX and TT nationals with B8's.  (and won) We were running 230 - 245 lbs of compression. We never had detonation problems.
