my engine seems to have a slight vibration in it . it may just be me overreacting but is it possible that the counterbalance is out of time with the crank.?
-
pull the clutch cover and see also check the bearing play on the balancer. if this vibration just started its probably the bearing.
-
also pull the stator side and check the bearing holder bolts. they can break.

ok thanks I,ve had this r for about 4 months now and I,ve only ridden it about 6 times down the street and back. but I will check it thanks for the info. is the counterbalance a problem with the 250r?

It's possible (it happened to me) but it's not likely, because it's virtually impossible for it to "skip". The only way for the counterbalance to be out of synch is for it to be assembled that way. And most people that are going to attempt any work in the bottom end know this. If they don't, they generally don't have the mechanical aptitude to get everything back together and running again.
I'm putting my money on bearings or a crankshaft issue.

it,ll be a few days but i,ll check into that. im affraid to ride it much like that. dont wanna cause any unnecesarry damage.
