Anyone happen to know the shock length for Roll XC's? The sub zero weather is keeping me from getting my front end put together and this is driving me crazy. I would run 21" fronts and 20" rears on a OEM spec frame (Arens Bros). Just curious if anyone did the 12" extended and 1.5" compressed measurement running Roll XC's and 21/20 tires. I know there are other measurements to worry about but I'm mostly curious about the length right now.

What time period are your Roll a arms from?
I'm guessing these are standard travel...?

Fresh off the press....2013. It will be a while before I get a chance to get measurements.
I have Roll +3's and can tell these are defindently closer to standard length.

I think my lobo uses 17". I'll check later tonight when I get home for sure.

Killer - does 16 3/4 sound right? Paige gave me that number for Elka's. Assuming it would be the same regardless of brand.
-
Yup that's the length on my axis too.
-
Cool deal - thanks! Bob

My Roll arms w/ my Laeger frame use 18.75 inch shocks. So i'd measure them to be absolutely sure. That's with 21" tires as well

I measured my lobo a few min ago. 16 3/4" and I also run 21" tires. I know roll mx arms use longer shocks like tbone has.

You running the MX arms?

If I set it up to run 21 tires it won't be that big of a deal if I ran 22's right?

You will have to adjust your ride height some but I deff recommend the 21" over the 22s
-
Yeah...seems I got carried away with what the old schoolers ran back in the day when I bought my 22's. The new school of thinking is certainly 21's. Guess I'll run the 22's on my stock 89 and save the original stock tires.
-
That would be best. 21" turns so much nicer than 22" and suspension has come a long way from back in the day lol

That's what I get for checking out in the 90's and returning in the 450 era. Live and learn. Maybe I'll do a 250r 4x4 build.

Good question lol. I bought them off a local guy that never used them so i'm not sure. He did run MX and they're +3 so i'll just assume they are the MX version

My Roll +3's have the same length shock as you are running. Wish I had that frame of yours to narrow my ride. Thus the reason I got the Roll XC's...I should probably measure them. Not sure if they are +.5, 1, or 1.5. They take the 400ex/06 450R spindles which add .5" so I'm guessing they gotta be a fractional size or maybe not. Now I'm curious dang it.

Ordered some 21's...now I need a home for the 22's.
-
You will deff like them better man!!!

I'm sure I will. Looks like that's what everyone runs. Not sure why I had 22's on the mind.
