So I have a really nice link shock and whole rear end, I also have a really nice no link frame.
Would converting my frame to a link setup be a good idea? I looked at the shock I can have it trimmed down on a lathe to fit the top mount. I can easily fab up a lower mount for the link on the frame.
I'm just not sure if I should do it.....
Thoughts? Ideas?

Just do it!

if you dont relocate the top shock mount the valving and spring ratio of the shock will be goofy

You think so? it looks pretty damn close in reference to were a stock framed 250r has the upper mount.

what is your intended end use of the Quad? As to what type of riding will you do?

I pretty much trail ride. Might do some local racing. Dunes once a year.
Since this thread was started I sold my link setup shock, and bought a no link swinger. Hoping to purchase a shock next week

In my opinion... you're better off running the rear suspension setup that the frame was intended for. Too many little differences between the different rear setups that need to be addressed to make it work properly
