Title: custom wire harness
Post by: hontrx265r on January 29, 2014, 02:53:50 PM
I'd like to offer these to the community. I have done several for the industry but recently finished for the 250r. Brandnew custom built harness water tight/sealed. No splicing, uses all deutch weather proof connectors aside from cdi. Oem wire codes. Labeled ends.  I'm offering a basic std 250r harness for 129.00.. for the month of feb ill do 99.00 shipped. I will also do full custom for batteries, special switches, dc lighting, fused circuits, extra powers.... whatever you can dream up for 199.00. Some applications may require your components to be sent to me ahead of time for highest quality. Pm for details

are you selling any?

I was going to make some and sell for just over my cost which wasn't very low on account of a low amount of items ordered (I was going to  keep cost under $50 to help members out but still make a few bucks for my time) but once I saw ricky stator selling custom harness  for $69 I decided against it, but good luck

Does it include the lighting terminals?

They include opposite connector for components. I have been asked several times to build these but I recently aquired cdi terminals. Ricky stator has no lighting and are bare. If you don't like the price then its not for you. When you have one in your hand you will long forget about the price, before you forget about the quality. These are a professional grade part with top grade materials. I'm not making a living from these I'm very busy with bigger toys. I'm just offering what has been requested and I can't do it for free. They take time to build and seal its not a ten minute deal.If you have to have it all and have an over the top build why would you cut yourself short on one of most important parts on your R.

Ya i know yours are made nice. Its just makes it hard to sell when not a direct OEM replacement not many are going to want to change out there connectors...at least thats what i found out a few years ago when i looked into this same thing

that's a nice part.....

I know the materials Mike (hontrx265r) is using and they are all top quality, along with he is making a custom for LED lighting with a capacitor or I believe a battery option,

for a race cut you don't need much and I would take the one Langbolt shows, but for custom configurations  Mikes are a REAL nice harness

Sounds good to me. Some of the harnesses I've aquired along the way have been brittle and rotted. If you could make a new one for me that plugs into the oem stator, lighting and control switch, I'm in. I will contact you soon. Glad to see people going the extra distance to keep our hobby alive!! Thanks!!!!

Dang, that does look like a nice harness!  I actually made my own, and am quite happy with it, but after the hardware and tools to make it, I probably could have just bought one of these, and been in the same ballpark.  If I had more time, I would consider making these for you guys, but don't think I could compete with these.  The components are high enough for me, that I wouldn't make much profit.  Nice job Mike!
