Title: Fuel out the air filter?
Post by: T8R6X on March 11, 2014, 02:30:48 PM
So I went out in the garage today and noticed a puddle of fuel under my bike, it's coming from the air filter. What do I need to look at in the carb or what adjustment do I need to make? Thanks Austin btw it's a pwk39

I have never seen fuel come out of air filter. If the float is stuck open( debri keeping it from closing or set wrong) the fuel should run out of overflow before it  could fill the air box.broken reeds can wet the filter ,but not just sitting there

If its coming out there, some is probably running down into the engine as well, because the jet nozzle is right in the middle of the rounded venturi & it can drain both ways.

Kinda funny how it can over flow at the jet nozzle & not out the over flow hoses on the sides of the carb. Guess it must be a real slow leak past the inlet needle & finely has got the bowl full enough to come out that nozzle, but not the over flow hoses.

overflow could be plugged or line is routed to high
