damn...What kind of numbers have you hit with the Liger?
-
I noticed the boot......why didn't they set it up with a roto start??
-
only 110hp :(
That motor ended up hydro-locking on the dyno trying to squeeze more boost into it. That was proably 5 years ago and I do not think they ever put it back together

being it was a turbo motor it probably kicked very easy with its low compression

That's not the same motor that did like some big twin and triple speeds up fallon a year later or so???
-
I wonder what happened to Neil's bro in laws turbo saber had a nice drag frame it sold for like 6 or 8g I know it sold off of planet sand

I don't know for sure but I think you are right, I am pretty sure it never made it to a planet sand race though

never heard anymore about that bike, I seen pictures of a bike Neil did with a blower on it but it never worked, they could not build any kind of boost with it because the stinger was to big to allow it to build enough pressure but if they made the stinger smaller it would burn pistons.
It was a pretty wild setup with the blower being driven off the flywheel with a cogged belt
-
I still have that motor... Hehe!!! I can do turbo too

I'm pretty sure it ran mid 90's up fallon in a custom chassis.. Funny thing he was rolling on in order to save the tranny and wouldn't even get on it till the bottom of the hill. I copied a vid of him running up the hill before ps crashed and lost all their vids and pictures only to have my computer crash and loose that video.. :fighting0085:

I want someone to buy this motor and put it in a drag chassis and race it, so I can say that was my motor! I don't have the balls, I left them at alter when I got married.

I hope someone close to me buys it so I can show you how slow it is!! JK :glee:

I was talking to a builder and He informed me that the early 496 cylinders setup for the artic cat rod came with lower transfers lining up with the piston @ tdb like Dave described and @ tdc the piston came up .010" short to the top of the cylinder just like Wayne's cylinder. I'm sorry for all your hardships with elinore. I went through the same when I tried a "The new thing" setup..
-
Troy just **** it to me and you can brag all you want about how it is/was your motor. :nevreness:
-
Well I'm going to do my darnedest to sell IF it does sell I guess there would be only one thing left to do... :d
-
Why do you just buy it and be a contender, instead of a pretender!! Lol, just kidding, polonda! Couldn't resist
-
You "need" this motor, it's calling to you... Haha, doing my best salesmen approach...

Not to beat a dead horse but I will bet any amount of money that cylinder was not touched except for skimming over the transfers and sending it out to be recoated.
But the good thing is anyone that want a nice K&T drag ported cylinder, it is setup and ready to go, IMO it just needs more compression and it will be a damn good running motor.
-
Yes it's a damn good drag motor, piss poor mx motor! Lol
-
Can't say I didn't try! Moving onto plan "b"
-
Troy you have no idea how bad I want to buy it. Already tried to sneak it by the wife and let's just say that didn't go very well.
I either need to have to get my new house painted(7-8k) or buy your motor. Women just don't get it...at least mine doesn't.
But keep trying to sell me I enjoy the crap talk!
-
Or you could take me up on my gsxr1000 offer....if you weren't a sissy. :beaten:
-
Paint the house yourself and save! Problem solved, how would you like me to ship? Ups, FedEx?
-
Actually you can drive it here.....and while your here we'll paint the house and you ban get better gas mileage on the way home minus one Saber motor. Oh...and you have to paint while I'm at work.
-
Honestly I can't believe it's not sold...have you listed it anywhere else?
-
No I haven't yet.., hard to a bunch of listing from a phone. Got anything else to partial trade? Try to work with you if you really interested
-
My two kids? J/k. I do Home Theater systems for a living if that interests you?
-
How about home security lol!
-
Try to stay away from security....lots of liability in it.
-
Do do camera and DVR systems though.
-
does anybody know anything about this bike?
-
Sure dont, but it's bad! And different to say the least. Looks like it started life as a blaster? Crazy rear shock setup too.
-
That's a wicked looking bike!
-
Alright thanks Wayne for letting the cat out of the bag... Darn.
No really sweet bike, I wanted to do something similar with bronze, sans turbo
-
that's the bike I was referring to!! It's Gpracerx's turbo saber, it did mid 90's mph up fallon years ago and that's with a roll on start..
Correction in 2006 it did 91mph up sand mountain faster than any twin and almost as fast as the fastest triples.. Man I wish I had that video it was such a slow start and watching it build speed was amazing to say the least.
-
wow thats awesome, wonder what ever happen to that, I can't get that guy to answer the phone I don't know how he even makes money as hard as he is to get ahold of
-
Bring up an old thread. What are they doing to get enough backpressure to really make some boost and how are they doing the fuel setup? Anyone dig into what it takes running a turbo?
