I have an esr 344. Boyesen rad valve race gas dome 01 cr ig and trx9b pipe. 39mm pj carb with a 182 main 60 pilot 2 turns out on the air screw 3rd clip from the top on the clip. Running 106 leaded mixed with klotz.
At 3/4-wot it runs great but from 1/4 to 3/4 she aint doing well. All she wants to do is sputter until I smash on it. Any and all suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like it's too rich on the pilot, needle, and clip.
Take a look about halfway down the page for more info on symptoms and remedies:

I am thinking your pilot should b around a 42
-
42 seems a little small isn't it?
-
I would think 50ish would be closer. But, will it idle a while without loading up with the 60 in it? That dgh needle is pretty common and shouldnt be too far off either. That link havinnoj put up should help dial you in too.

i run a 55 pilot in my 344

What you need to fiquire out is if this is a lean condition or a overly rich condition, many people mistake one for the other.
It is always safer to increase fuel to the throttle position that is running bad, and if it gets worse then try leaning that throttle position.
Normally 1/4-3/4 throttle is influence heavily by the needle in the slide.

If its lean it will run better with the choke on

Deff. Not lean. I have to clear it out a good bit to take off

I dropped my slow jet to 55 clip on 2nd. Main182 and breaks up at WOT almost revved out. Bump up my main?
