Hey guys this place is growing faster than I think any of us thought and that's great!
But we have to let go of the past to move forward, how many of us watched a divorced couple bicker for ever before they finally quit and moved on with their lives.
I have found a new home and honestly excited about the direction and the control of this board
Tony and Jon are doing a great job and the best way we can help them along with ourselves is to be positive.
Negative comments even directed toward the other board is just holding us back, l can promise you this, you are going to see change on the .net site, they will be scrambling to keep what members they still have.
But if there is a negative atmosphere here, that is not going to attract new members and help our site grow.
Go say your peace if that what it takes but let's all move on and grow!
-
well said Dave!!! I said my peace today and got banned for good!! This is my new home!!
-
Done deal, I've said my peice and then some, .net is in the books. Hello .org, let the good times roll!
-
Very well said. I'm staying on both boards, mainly for classified reasons. I'm honestly not 100% in sync with what all happened. I know the jist of it as I've been on other forums that sold out to autoguide. I also think (My opinion) there was a huge problem with BDT slinging his **** everywhere you read and driving up the cost of everything we do dearly love.
I will say this I got real sick of some of the **** on the other board. So I couldn't agree more with the OP on keeping things positive here. I'm stoked to be on a forum that's once again owned buy the some people that love our junk as much as we do.
-
I agree whole-heartedly!
-
Excellent idea, today went out with a bang,it would be hard to top that anyways(lol)! Between all the hard work you guys have done to not only get the site up and running, giving back to the members and all the technical info that has been added,we have already surpased the other site. Fantastic job for everyone involved, and I thank you!!!
-
Sounds good. Moving on.:positive:

We had our fun. We now need to look ahead and treat all members with respect. Please do not reference the other site or other negative effects it had. Its a new day for the 250r brethren to concentrate on new builds and making your bike the most pleasurable thing you own. Thanks to all members for joining. Please respect other members even if you did not respect them before. Just go out of your way and be the bigger person. If any problems arise contact me or one of the new mods and we will get it worked out. Thank you all for making this site great. Tony

My recommendation is for a stickie in all threads with a " notice" or " bullet point" stating the .org position. Tuff one as it may require policing as members arrive. Nevertheless personally I'm in complete agreement with Dave's suggestion.
-
x12...Let's move onward and upward!!
-
What other site? j/k
I logged out yesterday and have no plans of returning.
-
The Mods will do what we can to keep things in check, spammers will hit the road just like anyone else that deserves it
-
I mentioned this in the chat box a few days ago, to stop most spammers we should require a easy question during registration to be answered that any 250r owner would know.
That worked really well on another site I belong to.
-
Something simple like who made the 250r??
-
yes that would be a great one to start with
-
I repent and ask for forgiveness from anyone I may have hurt.new day
-

Thanks Dave, we got the message, Jon made the change!

I'm happy to see the new site and be a member. I'll still check the other site, but this is my new home. It's great seeing all positive stuff for a change. I feel relaxed and wanted here and that means a lot. Great job everyone. This site already feels like the other used to be, but better, and that is a major accomplishment. Keep up the great work.

cool I hope it helps I know it did for us.

Jon has to handle the members that make the transition here. Were trying to be as positive as possible handling issues of the past. Those issues are not welcome here but all members coming over are. What I am saying is it is my job to make sure the drama does not start here again. Can't have any rain on our parade. The members here do not deserve to listen to things that happen in the past. With that said, when you forget and make a statement that gets reported, the administrators get an email that gives the report as to what thread is being violated, we then go check to see whats wrong and delete it. Your enjoyment here is not disturbed. If your post gets deleted and you take it upon yourself to attack the site through the forum you will not be here any longer. If you have a problem you must take it up with an administrator. Sorry, this is not a debate open to the public forum.

Guys, I just want to chime in here with an experience I had that was very similar to this .net to .org thing: Back in 2001, I found a bulletin site for people that owned Chevy & GMC S-10/S-15 pickup/Blazer/Jimmy's that were doing very extensive modifications to them for off-roading. I have a S-10 Blazer that I had modified on my own and found a lot of great information sharing on this site that helped me get through some problems I was having. After about 3 years, the site owner started his own agenda and was deleting, blocking posts, banning members and such. So a few members took it upon themselves to start another site. Eventually all the membership transitioned over to the new site. The memebership kept growing and the admins keep the site clean and above all a information sharing site. It eventually got big enough that the head admin purchased a server and the site is actually contained and managed soley buy the admin. But the point I coming to here is that this site is now so well known it is being referenced by the 4x4 community, i.e. magizines and tech editors. So if this place can stay positive, grow and house a wealth of 250R knowledge, maybe it can be referenced by Dirt Wheels, ATV Rider or someone else...

I'm a little slow i guess, I was wondering where everyone went....LOL

Haha! ^^^ now that's a funny post!

Thats OK, it was hard to communicate with everyone since FP censored the site! Your post is a little funny...amusing as heck !!!:sign0108:

Thats what i'm here for,,,, LOL

Folks please remember this message. We need to keep our momentum going in the right direction! Moving forward and looking past our issues! Thanks
Thanks for reminding us Jon. We just need to treat them as they do not exist. Any publicity good or bad is still publicity. Time and time again they will attempt to get back into the spotlight by making outrageous claims. Ignore the salesman's twisted reality. The truth can always be found somewhere else!

The TRX 250r is 30 years old and has an awesome group of people still into them. This site needs to stay going/growing as there is a lot of good info and people here!

Did all of y'all know, if you got a sore spot scabbed over on your body & you keep scratching at it, it wont ever go away. After a while, that sore spot will get bigger & bigger & then it starts to affect you mentally. After that, its all down hill until it turns into infection & cancer.
Please guys, we need all of you here in good health mentally, so we can keep these TRX250Rs in good health as well. We cant do that if we let bad thought leading us in the wrong directions.
Neil
