Title: First 250r build box of parts need help

Bought my first 1986 250r today it came as a pile of parts any tips for looking through for original parts also is there a PDF download for a repair Manuel any help would be great been riding 440exs for years always wanted to dance with the older sister

Doing an inventory check will be the hardest part but after a few hours I had it a rolling chassis lots of missing pieces but well worth the build

Only pic I took last night will get some more tonight nothing is bolted down yet just wanted a rolling chassis to show my gf I didn't just waste 600 bucks on boxes of junk

With your box build did you get a title if not was it a nightmare to get registered ?

We don't have to register in missouri.

Wow that looks awesome I'm thinking of going with the retro look is there a company that replicates the original gold rims

Welcome!  Got a nice start for sure.  You didn't by chance pick this up in WI/IL on craigslist did you?  Looks very familiar to me.

The atc guys are powder coating the rims gold.  The original ones are anodized

Welcome to the site. You have a good start, i dig the old school fast trekkers. One of the many good things about 250R's is that parts are still fairly readily available because they have quite a following. Good luck with the build & keep the pictures coming.
