I designed and fabricated some custom beefy case savers for my quads, as I did not care for any of the aftermarket ones available. My buddies all wanted one as well, so I figured I would see if there was any interest in making a batch of them. I am looking at about $35 + shipping. I currently have 2 variations: 13T and 14T. They are machined out of 6061-T6, are 1/2 inch thick, bolt on using existing hardware (assuming you have 8mm or allen heads), and do not require a spacer. They have worked great on my bikes so far.
Let me know what you think, and if there is enough interest I will have some more machined. Also, let me know if you prefer a 13T or 14T. Thanks!

See what happens when you don't moderate the new guys. This is just a test....I am transparent and have nothing further to say. Other than, do you have any pics with them mounted?

In hindsight that does look bad, my apologies for that. I originally posted this on another website, and havinnoj suggested I post here as well.
You are not wrong, though. I do want to make a few bucks on this to fund a dune trip or two... I just really liked how my creation turned out, and thought I would share it.

Dude why are you saying my apologies for its a open site first time on it or not you have a kick butt product dont matter how many times you been on here people like you that are building stuff for the R's thats cool..If people are stuck on buying stuff from one person that cool too but basically don't say your sorry for making cool stuff and wanting to get it out there so people can buy it.Thats crazy..

This is the 13T on one of my bikes. Still filthy from the last ride, but shows it in use.

Second that. It's always nice to see R parts being made.

I looked into that, but the material in the middle (about 9-10 o'clock looking at sprocket) gets very thin for a 15t. However, Pumashine made an excellent comment earlier about running a center 'rib' to further help guide the chain. If I did that, then there may be enough material at the thin spot to make a 15t work. I will certainly check it out and get back to you!

I erased the comment as did not want to upset your thread on a great looking product. I realized making the 15 tooth case saver a product like yours is the only solution to the problem. The rib would alow you to get the arc closer to the chain middle wear it is needed. And add strength like you said. I know it adds time to the production but would make it strong enough for those 15 tooth sprockets.

I'll take two. A 13T and a 14T.
-
Was this just a teaser? :securitycamera::securitycamera:
-
No, just redesigning them a bit based on a suggestion from Pumashine so I can accommodate the 15T guys as well. Middle of hay season, and things are a little busy right now... I promise when things calm down I will get back on it!
-
Did anything ever transpire from this?
-
I'll take 2 for the 15 tooth.
