Title: What hydraulic clutch to buy and where?
Post by: hondaman77 on April 18, 2014, 12:17:42 AM
I bought a magura on ebay and it didn't move the actuator arm enough to disengage the clutch so I gat annoyed and sold it. Where can I buy a hydraulic clutch that will be bolt on and go on the R?

Magura is the best you can buy. next up would be a Streamline. they can be hard to bleed and the early version of the Magura had seal problems. perhaps you had one from that batch. don't give up! if you can find a new Magura I would give it another shot. the quality of the streamline is not as good as the Magura.

a new OEM or motion pro terminator cable with a EZ pull clutch lever and perch will provide you a butter smooth pull too. cheaper in the end also.

I put buna-m seals in my magura, and it has lasted three seasons so far, with just a re-bleed before first rip every year. My clutch is like butter. I will NEVER use any other clutch setup.

I always get this Magura. Have 6 of them without leaking  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Magura-Hydraulic-Clutch-HONDA-TRX-250R-FOURTRAX-1986-1989-/300621208458?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item45fe6b9b8a&vxp=mtr

I run magura on my mx bike and my xc bike both. Its an amazing setup. Best ever. Many seasons on both. No issues since they updated the slave cylinder.
