Title: Best pipe for hill shooting
Post by: Mickkey82984 on April 18, 2014, 06:07:35 PM
I got my sphinx running finally, it seem to be running pretty good. I been thinking of ordering a new pipe because my scp oof drag pipe was built for a prox 370 and I'm running a sphinx and I mainly hill shoot. Who the best to go through for a dune ported sphinx pipe? I was thinking of shearer or led, do any of you run one of these pipes? Should I go oof or in frame?

Thanks.
Mike

I'd get ahold of mat.  I've heard that his pro x pipes that he has been making will work on sphinxes   You'll have to send a pic and he could tell ya.  Unless it's a super old pipe

Ok, cool I'll try to get ahold of matt. I'm pretty sure its pretty old I bought used from you I think on .net a year or two ago, before I got the perma ban.

I had Mat build me a sphynx a couple years ago and told him I already had a OOF that came from a 370 and he said it world work fine.  He did have one specifically for a Sphynx but he assured me that spending 600+ on a new pipe wasn't necessary since I already had one.

Before I decided on the drag Sphynx I wanted a duner/race gas motor and he informed me the ESR CM trx-5 pipe would work best from his dyno experiences for inframe.  Then I decided to do a full drag build and went with a pipe I already had.
