Curious who all has tried aftermarket swingarm bolts. These are the different sources I'm looking at....Walsh, LSR, Fourwerx, Baldwin, or just run the OEM Honda (400ex). There are others but these are the companies I've grown to trust. I'm leaning towards the Walsh or LSR but would like to hear from you all before spending that kind of dough. Maybe the 400ex is the way to go... spiritaces you have the 450 in pieces. Is it a match to the R or maybe close enough to work.
Thanks, Bob

I don't have the 250r one to compare. Mine spare is getting zinced. I can take measurements of something if you like
I'd be curious of the total length as well as the length of the threaded portion if you have it handy.

Thanks Jon. Much appreciated.

I've ran the Baldwin chromoly bolt ever since the stock one snapped 10+ years ago and that thing is solid. Definitely recommended if you are looking for HD.

I have Baldwin front hubs and they tend to design parts that can take abuse. Wish they still made gears. Is it a rod threaded for a nut on each end or does it have a fixed end like the stock style. Thanks for the feedback....

I've run a Baldwin for 12 years and no problems at all. If you ride mx or aggressive I would stay away from the stock one's. I think it's because they are hollow and either bend or flair but I've seen to many get seized.(http://forums.trx250r.org/vbulletin_imports/29_1985_2017-04-18_3344.jpg)

Of course you guys would point me to the $80 bolt! Can't go wrong with Baldwin stuff...just broke $...lol. Might as well order a Baldwin carrier while I'm at. Thanks gentlemen.

I will stick with my $100 TI bolt. :)

FourWerx

I would venture a guess that none of these bolts are made exclusively for these companies. Just need to find the direct source and I'm sure it would be much cheaper. Except for that Ti bolt. Ti=$

I didnt realize the stock bolt had a dip in it.
The Baldwin bolt looks just like a SS rod that has been threaded on both ends.

It is a threaded rod with a nut on each side.

i see nothing is cheap in your world lol!
Not my plan trust me. I'm learning quickly that nothing in the R world is cheap except for at the end when you have a $15k bike and can only sell it for 8....LOL.

Looks like the Walsh has the dip in it and it looks machined like the LSR. The Baldwin may be from an external source because I remember TnT or one maybe Hellbound selling something similar. The thing is Baldwin only seems to put there name on the true quality items so the others could be copies from a different source or maybe the same thing at half price.

I just had it zinced that's why the color looks like that.
