Question. If the carb is machined on the airbox side should it slide into the airbox boot without issue? It close but I am afraid of tearing the boot.

I just got one a few weeks ago as well from ESR withthe machined ends. Its a very tight fit but if you warm up your airbox boot in hot water for a while before installing, it should slide right on

It is a tight fit, but as mentioned, warming it up will improve the insertion! :shame:

It is still a bit tight but leave plastic boos in sunlight for a few hours while sun is bright or hot outside. Then slide intakes on air box boot and rubber reed boot and let cool down for a bit.

Hot water worked great.

I like to use hot water as well. I've known a couple guys that used heat guns without knowing what they were doing, and melted their boot. Impossible to melt it with hot water.
