I want to start by saying I am by no means bashing on CCP, the stabilizer I got for my R is top notch & I can't wait to try it out. The issue though is that they will not work with the OEM steel brake line without modification. I had to unbolt the line & splitter to get the stabilizer installed so now I need to rebend the line & make a spacer for the splitter & make longer brake line clamps. If a braided line was used from the master cylinder to the splitter it would solve the problem but for those of you that want to run a CCP with the hard line, mod's to the line will need to be made.

What year frame are you installing it on? I didnt have a problem with my 86 frame..

Getting rid of the OEM brake line and going to all braided would be the best option. 25+ year old brake lines that werent that good to start with.

I had to file some of the bracket down to get it to fit between the frame rails. Piece looks real nice though, need to get out and ride it to feel the improvement.

I agree with Kyle. You really need to get ride of the OEM brake line anyway. Otherwise, it is still your weakest link from having great brakes. The OEM brake line could still expand during hard use from being old and your brakes still not working as well as they could be.

I agree with getting rid of the stock rubber lines going out to the calipers but the issues I had were with the hard line that comes down from the master cylinder. In order for the actuator arm to sit 90deg to the link the stabilizer sit's too close to the t-block & was hitting the line where it makes a 90 into the T. If the link was shorter there would be no issues with clearing the factory hard line. Aside from that I got the stabilizer installed & I used stainless lines from the master out. I really like the quality of the stabilizer & how much more controllable my bike is in the dunes. Now I'd like to get one for my wife's R to go along with the anti vibe stem.

Hey Broken, can you post up a pic? I have ran my CCP on an 86 and an 88 frame now, but I'm not fully understanding your issue. But I may have a different setup on certain than you do. A pic would help alot if you can.
