So I was working on the bike today getting it ready for next weekend. Washed it then went to fire it up and nothing. Pulled the plug to put a fresh one in because the one in it was the one I use to purge. Well the plug boot broke off from the spark plug wire.
It is a ESR CR250 setup. The boot is a NGK TB05EM. Anyone know of a easily attainable boot from a local parts house? Or can I push out the connector within the boot and re-use it?

Did the boot just come off ?
If so then twist it back on clockwise with a little force in tell its snug
If not, don't worry those boots are easy to get ,I've gotten two from Honda in the past ,pretty common part #
,probably get one from rocky mountain .com

The plug boot threads into the wire itself. Probably just came loose just thread it back on like you would any thing else, I just did this earlier when we were working on my buddies bike. Sometimes you need to cut a little off the end of the wire to have a fresh start when threading the boot on.

Ya cut a little back so there's fresh copper showing
-
OK I am at work till 10. I'll check it when I get home. The end is flush and the wiring looks a little oxidized so I'll cut it back a little.

Yepp i just went threw the same thing. Kept tryna just push it on but realized it twists on hours later. Like the guys said cut 1/4 inch off the end with some dykes and there ya go. Twist her on!!

Well yup that fixed it. Damn I feel dumb now. Just screwed the boot back on and it fired right up. Geniuses on here I say.
Thanks

Funny stuff. Don't feel bad, I had to show that to a friend on his kx250 about 2 weeks ago. I did get the pleasure of getting to kick it over a few times and shock him to test it. After a few times he said he was sure it was working. I kept saying IDK lets try it again LOL!
