I'll be watching this as I am going to be making one as well. Bought a kart front wheel hub the day, going to pick up some rod ends and tubing later on.

Correct.  Most don't run rear suspension with a bar.

damn dave! thats beautiful. did you make it? im guessing the shock is so you can use it in the dunes right?
Title: Can anyone show me their Wheelie Bar set up?? need to make one
Post by: rsss396 on October 26, 2013, 11:22:14 PM
yeah I made it, the shock is suppose to take the hit away and not unload the rear tires when the bike comes up.

you can also accomplish the same thing by building a longer wheelie bar.

I have tried it in the dunes, but if you tune you rear shock pressure and tire size you can avoid needing a wheelie bar in the dunes

Well I some of the parts ordered to get this going. Was size tube should I use. 1" .120 wall? What size Heims? 1/2" or would 12mm work since I have the taps for it already?

Going to make it like Eightmup has his setup.

You going to build a 3 or 4 bar wheelie bar? My 3 bar wheelie bar on my puma lower rails are 3/4" 0.49 I think my top rail is 1" 0.65 it's all chromemoly. I wouldn't go .120 wall that will be a heavy bar. My lower hemis are 3/8" aluminum ones and my upper rail hemis are 7/16" aluminum ones I think.
