One of these days I will get the engine put in it. I also need to take the plus 2 Pro Trax front end off and put the plus 3 Pro Trax on it so I can use the shocks I got from you.

03 LSR YZ426 chassis getting a 07 TRX450r engine. Once I get it all together and everything just right it will get torn back apart to powder coat the frame and swing arm.

What airbox/boot are you running back there Patrick?

Good to see you on the site.

I don't know what brand the air box is. I bought it off e-bay. I have a 86,87 air boot and a LT500 air boot also. Once I get the engine in I will see which boot will work the best.

Thanks. Glad to be a member of this site.

Nice! I should be picking up the lsr 426 i found this week and my trx motor is on the bench waiting. Is there a reason your using the CRF no link?

The yfz boot will be your best bet for the no links, imo....  its real thin around the shock area.

Should be a nice build.

You may want to consider that Gibson front end that was floating around EBay and .net as well...just a suggestion.

It is a no link chassis. I couldn't find any other no link swingarms.
Let me know what you have to do to get the engine bolted in.

Thanks. I like the Gibson front ends, but I will stick to the ProTrax front ends. I have them on all three of my quads.

I plan on it. I hope i can get by without powder coating it just yet it has 0 ride time on new powder so the welds and cuts I make might get a rattle can job till january.

Change of plans. No longer going with a trx450r motor. Picked up an 07 crf450r for the motor.

The only update is I got the crf450r for the motor. It has been to cold to work on since I don't have a garage to work on it in. I am still trying to round up all the small parts I need. After the holidays I plan on hitting it hard to try to get it done before next race season. I will post pics when I get back to working on it.

Thats cool man, I understand not having a garage to work in. I have my race trailer to work I , ceiling is insulated so it holds heat ok. Good luck and cant wait to see it come together.

I tossed the idea of using my trx motor also that was a nightmare I picked up a crf also. What did you do about the chain not lining up?

Yes I used the 426 front motor mounts. Someone had drilled a extra set of holes for the front bolt on them. Not sure if I am using the original bolt hole or the hole someone had drilled. I still need a one inch spacer for the left side and a two inch spacer for the right side.

It sounds awesome and throttle response is awesome. I need to ride it on a track or some good dirt. Every time I got on the throttle it would just roast the tires off.

The pipe was actually for a Walsh Crf hybrid. I got off e-bay. I had to take it and the quad to a fabrication shop and have it fitted for my chassis.  I just bought another Sparks Walsh Crf hybrid exhaust.

I used silicone hoses off e-bay and a aluminum tube bought off e-bay also, 2 inch to 2 1/2 inch 45 degree elbow off the back of the carb. 2 1/2 inch to 4 inch straight hose off my aluminum air box and a piece of 2 1/2 inch by 18 inch long aluminum tubing. I had to cut the hoses down and cut the ends at an angle to clear the shock and frame. Once I got the silicone hoses cut to the right length and angles, I cut the aluminum tubing to the length I needed it to fit. I also had to dent in the aluminum tube by the rear shock a little bit so it would not rub when the shock was compressed.
