I've been working on 450R's a lot here lately and haven't done much with my first 86. In fact, it's been living under a sheet for nearly a year. Thanks to Dan and the new site, I decided to finally install chrome a-arms and the +4 swingarm I've been moving for years.
It's nothing special, but means a lot to me... It was the first 250R I ever saw and I've owned it since 2002. I bet I've put 10,000 trail and dune miles on the poor thing and it has even spawned the interest of several other local 250R guys.
Let me know what you think, and what I should update next. Other than a chain. Lol.

Ive always been a fan of the 86-87's. Just something about that red, white and blue!

That's the spirit! (Long Live The 250R) :victorious: Nice looking bike, by the way.

Thanks everyone... Its ridiculous how excited I was to drag out the old bike (and ignore 60 hp 450R's... lol). It is a nice cruiser, but the only parts that have been with me for all those miles are the tank, seat pan, engine cases, some trans parts, rear suspension wishbone, clutch perch and the front hubs. The rest has been tinkered with, modified, replaced or improved, near continually for 10 years. I've actually built another complete 250R out of the leftover parts from this 86's changes. It's good to be back with an old friend.

Super clean. Dragged my R out of the garage for the first time in almost two years a couple days ago.
