What year spindles will work with the 88-89 250r hubs and brakes? Just trying to find out what my different options are. Thanks

I think all model 400ex spindles will work with the 88-89 250r hubs. i have the older model 400ex spindles because they were cheaper. If you use 400ex spindles you will have to use 400ex brake calipers unless you use those baldwin adapters. Or you can use the yfz450 calipers

o and i use 86 style lonestar hubs that i just changed out the bearings to fit the 400ex spindles

Sorry! Gotta ask all I have are early style front ends. Those 86/87  LS front hubs are hard to find

88/89 hubs will work on 400ex spindles, but you have to put the cone spacer in the middle.  400ex hubs have a tapperd spacer, the 88/89 do not.

Thank you all for helping me out. This helps.  I know I have a new thread going like every other day but I want to know as much as I can before I make a decision. Can always count on the forum for help
