Title: LED Intake and 350G pipe on a Lobo Frame
Post by: 2ndmoto on August 22, 2014, 12:08:57 AM
There was some interest in how the LED intake fit the Roll Design Lobo frame. I thought I would share some pictures.

Plenty of clearance around the plastics (old Fullbore), frame and head-to-pump coolant hose. I did end up running a different coolant hose that runs from the pump to the radiator. There are some frame supports that push the stock hose too close to the pipe. It is a Gates hose Part# 19707. Had to do a little trimming, but it fit well.

There might be a better hose out there, but this was available at the auto parts store...and, come hell or high water, I was going riding the next day. The crude exhaust bracket was my own design, as Roll failed to design a frame with an exhaust mount. I had to run this bracket back to the gas tank mount. I'll have LED fab me up something soon.

Here is the Intake. LED does make a few different ones. This one is specific to the Lobo chassis. It is tight, but there is clearance from the shock being fully extended to bottomed out. I am going to see about getting an air box made.

If you would like to see any specifics, let me know.

Sick lobo. That danhung's old chassis?  I'd love a intake to mount to a stock airbox.  I don't think I'm alone on that matter either lol

You guys running lobos? I'll be going over to LED in a week or two. I'll see if Arlan has interest in building them.

How about one for a no link lrd frame?  Or do I have to modify a stock frame led intake to fit my lrd frame?

Man I need those pegs and nerfs bad lol. Did you get the heel guards Dan had with them also?

No heel guards. Are the nerfs hard to find?  It is getting ripped down soon for a color change.

On the LRD Frame, I am not sure. I know the tubing is larger than a stock frame. So it would need a different mount. As far as fitting the frame, you would have to call Arlan and ask. But I will ask him next time I see him.

I haven't looked too deep yet, but probably. The roll pegs are I think the only roll part I'm not running yet due to wanting nerf bars.
