The 39 PWK on my r wont stop leaking fuel out of the vent on the float bowl. It is an older carb, and has leaked from that vent as long as we have had the bike. We tried adjusting the float height with no help, so it got a rebuild kit recently new floats, jets, etc all from sudco and still leaks fuel. The only way to stop it is shut the fuel off and run the remaining fuel low in the bowl. I dont know if Im just not adjusting the float height right or if it is an imperfection in the carb itself. Any help or tips would be appreciated.

It could be leaking through the brass tube that is pressed inside the float bowl. Or fuel is entering the top of this tube. That would be caused from a stuck float, improper adjustment or the float jet is not getting sealed.
I would vote for a poor seal. The float needle and jet can get varnish deposits on them causing a no seal condition. Pull the carb apart and look very closely at the sealing surfaces.
I had this exact problem with my CR earlier this year. Leaked bad out the bottom vent. The top of the float needle and the float jet had a bit of build up. Cleaned the crustys off both, now it works fine
Best regards
