Title: Who still cuts factory heads for o-rings?
Post by: turkey_drag on August 24, 2014, 01:47:29 PM
I've got a 85 ATC head that I would like to get cut for o-rings. The 85 o-ring head I've been running got chewed up in the last burn down, and the guy that used to cut our heads doesn't do it anymore.

Arlan at LED cuts oring grooves in oem cylinders. You don't have to worry about the outing falling out as you are installing the head over the studs. Same idea as with the aftermarket cylinders.

Best regards

Nate McCoy can as well. He can also recut the stock head to set it up for you.

Also try Branden and Shay at Wildcard racing out of Utah since they are a little closer to you. If you call them tell them Russell from Cali sent you.

cutting oring grooves may not be as easy as some people think. has to be the right dimater, width and depth. other wise the oring sits to high and the head doesnt go down far enough or it gets compressed not enough and have sealing problems. used to be a oring site that had all the groove dimensions for most any oring but the link went dead

Thanks for the advice guys! Really appreciate it, the link definitely helps. I feel like one could not go wrong at all with McCoy or Arlan.
