Title: LRD Pipe Adjustment

I have an old school LRD adjustable that came with a bike I picked up, never messed with one before.  If I know my cylinder has low-mid porting, what would you set that adjustment at?  Seems like more of a fine tuning adjustment when on the dyno trying to squeeze another pony out.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

yes i think arlan said from fully out to fully in, it only changes the curve peak like 300 rpm, so pry much un-noticeable.

That about what I see when testing pipes on the dyno.

I usually see the torque peak move about a 100 RPM  for every 10 mm change in the length of the center section on most pipes.  The LRD pipes usually have about 20 to 30 mm of adjustment.

A 10 mm change in the head pipe length will usually move the torque peak about 100 to 300 RPM.

Changing these dimensions does not always have the same effect on every engine and pipe combination.

Ok sounds good, I'll probably open it up a little and call it good for now.  I appreciate the responses!
