What kind of welder? If its gas mig you'll catch on fast. Just build your puddle first. Besides anyone can weld! Just make sure you have a grinder:lol::lol::lol::lol::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::lol::lol::lol:

Nice job. It looks good, I like the saw blades for the corner gussets. Just be careful when you reach across them to get stuff out of the front of your bed:smile-new:

Looks good.  Mine is angle iron instead of box.  You could add some pieces to the bottom where it sits in the stake pockets.

Hey guys thanks for the positive coments!  I aquired a old cheap mig welder (presto-weld ha great name) for $100 with a brand new bottle of argon in great working condition and decided to go for it and actually melt some metal together.  So far so good maybe if I get good enough I'll get a gusset kit to put on the next frame! But until then I'll keep my grinder close to me
@ ovrit. Do you use the stake pocket pieces to actually hold it down?

Looking good!

Here's a crappy pic of one I did.

The gas can and oil jug are hanging off hooks that normally are used to hang ratchet straps. On the angle iron that rests on the bedsides are some axle U-bolts that hold 20' chains. And where you have the blade gussets, I used pipe, it works as a tie down point when hauling bikes.
