Title: CalFab is Making Swingarms Again!
Post by: christph on September 28, 2014, 07:44:43 PM
I just read over at 3-wheelerworld that CalFab swingarms are being made again. For now it looks like it is just old-school superbikes but perhaps if we contact MotoGPwerks.com with enough interest they will start reproducing them for our trikes and quads. It seems the guy that owns MotoGPwerks bought out the old shop that used to be CalFab. According to this link http://www.motorcycle.com/top10/top-10-things-motogp-werks.html/8, he is serious about reproducing swingers for bikes. Perhaps with a little convincing he'll expand his product line to include swingers for the R, Tecate, and Z. I've got CalFabs for the 1st and 2nd generation Tecates, but I'd like ones for my R and Z.

Here is the 3-wheelerworld link:

Makes sense that they'd come back now considering the popularity of older street bikes has grown. Mainly the CB's, XS, SR's, etc. that are being converted to Cafe's / Trackers...

Which reminds me - anyone have any old street bikes laying around for sale? I was just kidding about their new found popularity :)
